  31.       ║ Softkeys are the F1 to F10 or shift-F1 to shift-F10 function keys.  ║

  49.         INSERTING AND DELETING TEXT
  50.         The keypad "Ins" key toggles the INSert and OVeRtype modes and
  51.         displays the current mode on the status line. In insert mode,
  52.         characters may be inserted wherever the cursor is. In overtype
  53.         mode, a character typed at the keyboard replaces the current
  54.         character. The keypad "Del" key deletes the current character.
  55.         The backspace (<-) key deletes the previous character.

  57.         READING FILES

  104.         USING SEINSTAL

  106.         - Copy all of the files on the SE diskette to any directory
  107.           before using SEINSTAL.
  108.         - Select items from the pop up menus by using the up or down
  109.           arrow keys and then pressing the ENTER key.
  110.         - Change colors or ON/OFF choices by using the left and right
  111.           arrow keys.
  112.         - Exit by pressing the SPACE bar or the ESC key.

  117.                               INSTALLATION OPTIONS

  119.         Install Directory
  120.            The directory where SE is installed. This is where SE
  121.            looks for macro files, special character files, help
  122.            files, and the macro editor.

  124.         Display Options
  125.            Select colors,  monochrome mode or eliminate snow if
  126.            there is snow on your display when using the editor.

  128.         Prompt ON/OFF
  129.            If Prompt is ON  the editor prompts before performing any
  130.            file operations.

  132.         Memory Requirement
  133.            How much memory SE uses. Determines the maximum size of
  134.            files that can be edited: 250K: 40 PAGES  512K: 115 PAGES
  135.            640K: 135+ pages.

  137.         Startup Macro
  138.            This is a macro file that is executed automatically when
  139.            SE is started.

  148.       Softkey Editor is copyrighted by the author. If you obtained this
  149.       program from a shareware distributor or a bulletin board you may
  150.       use it to determine if it meets your text editing needs. If you
  151.       continue to use it, you must become a registered user. Version 1.4
  152.       of SE may be copied and shared with other users as long as the
  153.       entire diskette is copied. You are encouraged to share this software
  154.       with other users. SE version 2.0 or greater, which is available only
  155.       to registered users may not be distributed or copied except for
  156.       making a backup copy.
